Principal’s Note

Parents and Guardians,

We want to congratulate the Skyridge High School football team on another trip to the finals. Good luck this week.

Second quarter is passing as quickly as the leaves falling from the trees. This Thursday, November 15th, is our midterm.

Parent/Teacher Conference and Continuing the Conversation- November 15- Parent/Teacher conferences are this Thursday, November 15th from 3:30-7:00 pm. You can visit any of your teachers in that time frame. If you have general questions or concerns, please visit our FAQ table in the triangle. We want to know what we’re doing well and how you would like to see us improve. Whether you have specific ideas or just things you would like to see changed, please join us in the media center after our Parent/Teacher Conference at 7:00pm. We know that with your help we can continue to serve our students better and build the connections they need to be successful.

Our PTSA will be providing dinner for our teachers prior to conferences. If you would like to help with that, please follow this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0D44A4A82AA13-parentteacher

NAMI Mental Health Night- On November 28th, we will host a parent night with NAMI, (The National Alliance on Mental Illness), to go over basic signs and symptoms of mentall illness and conditions as well as introduce their Progression and Basics class. This is open to the community so please pass the word along.

Article- As we watch the rise in anxiety and depression among our students we continue to look for solutions. We recognize that there are not simplistic answers to this multifaceted issue. Each child facing these issues is an individual and the solution must meet their specific needs. I came across this article that I wanted to pass along. I hope to continue to work with you to help each of our children.
