Important Dates

- Thursday, October 24th: Information meeting in the lunchroom.
- Friday, Nov. 1st: Applications due on Canvas. Please make sure they are COMPLETE and signed by a parent/guardian.
- Enroll in the NJHS Canvas course here: https://alpine.instructure.com/enroll/D4DX69
- Type your name in the box stating you are aware of our chapter’s requirements and meeting schedule
- New candidates and members who earned silver or bronze status last year complete the entire application and pay the fee.
- Members who earned gold status last year only complete the top portion, check the appropriate box, get a parent/guardian’s typed signature, and pay the fee.
- Everyone please include a copy of the receipt from the financial office indicating the $10 fee was paid with your application (members not selected will be reimbursed).

- Monday, Nov. 18th: Induction Ceremony

NJHS Requirements Overview
- Regular attendance and participation in chapter meetings.
- Please communicate with Mrs. McNeel if you need to be excused from a meeting.
- Work with your teachers to ensure your availability during our chapter meetings
- Complete monthly training module on Canvas prior to chapter meeting.
- Document at least 10 hours of community service (personal service project). Forms will be due on Canvas no later than Friday, May 2nd.
- Training modules completed count as 30 minutes of service
- Chapter meetings count as 45 minutes
- Completing all training modules and attending all chapter meetings will give you at least half of the required hours.
- Maintain standards on which you were inducted into NJHS (scholarship-3.7 GPA, service, leadership, character, and citizenship).
- Not meeting these requirements could result in dismissal from NJHS.

- 2nd A-day Tuesday of the month (except December, March, and May)
- Tues, Dec. 3rd
- Tuesday, Jan. 14th
- Tuesday, Feb. 11th
- Tuesday, March 4th
- Tuesday, April 29th
- Thursday, March 15th during late bus
- These dates are subject to change
Student Leadership
Student leaders meet monthly beginning in September to plan and carry-out activities and trainings. The first few dates for these meetings are:
- Tuesday, Sept. 17th
- Tuesday, Oct. 8th
- Tuesday, Nov. 12th
- Dec: Chapter meeting only, no leader meeting
- Jan: TBD
- Feb: TBD
- March: TBD
- April: TBD
- More meetings may be scheduled as needed
