There Is A God In Heaven" Angels Among Us Ministries 02/03 by Reaching Out Radio | The Bible

For those who are new to the school, this is a Christmas donation drive that has taken place here at the school for the last 20-30 years at least.  Students and faculty are encouraged to donate money to benefit Lehi Junior High School families.

The student council will run the donation drive this year, and the Administration and Guidance Center will discuss and distribute the money to families based upon the needs that they have.

The donations will be collected next week (12/6-12/10) using a container that has been placed in your box.  We would love to see a $5 per student average, but the home room representatives felt that not everybody could donate $5 dollars.  They did feel that everybody could donate at least $1, so please use that as a starting point in your discussions with your home room students.

The student council has planned a little home room competition to hopefully make the donation drive fun and encourage more donations.
  • Donations of coin or currency with the exception of quarters will count positively toward your class total.

  • Quarters will count negatively toward your class total.  Students can Quarter Bomb another class by putting quarters in the container of another class before school each day to lower their Ending Total.

  • The student council will announce each day the class with the highest amount from Collections, the highest amount from Quarter Bombs, and the highest Ending Total (Collections minus Quarter Bombs).

  • The student council is also planning different “prizes” for the class with the highest amount from Collections, the highest amount from Quarter Bombs, and the highest Ending Total (Collections minus Quarter Bombs) for the week.

Our very own Meredith Schramm is a member of the Native American community and is leading out with all the information you are seeing in the halls and hearing during the daily announcements about Native Americans and their accomplishments. She will be presenting some assemblies during HERD Time for our students that are not requested. We appreciate her hard work and invite everyone to attend these amazing assemblies.

Here is a link to a great video explaining the month.
